TIME IS RUNNING OUT, PRIZES PROBABLE.

Congrats to all the degree show peeps. Some excellent films in the mix there. Twas great to catch up with a load of people, some of whom I didn't get to talk to half as much as I wanted to.

Good to see everyone nonetheless, and just wanted to say I had a great time. Definitely a weekend I wont forget. And one that I will possibly remember incrementally for the next two weeks or so :D

Stay cool everyone,

C

Oh and Pat, the thing arrived. What codec you have on that? I've got audio but no visual. Was listening anyway, SUPRISINGLY DETAILED NARRATION. Thanks dude.

The prince of persia trilogy, which was made by ubisoft montreal... what a coincidence. Also, we've been trying to find a good multiplayer game, but apart from Half Life 2, no luck so far.

Lastly, we almost started making our own game. I say almost because we can get the freaking game engine to work, and without that, we have nothing.

So I guess you'll be staying here for a while?

Your french background will really help you there. As far as I know its a pre-requisite to be able to speak at least some french.

That and there's a GASP 2D ANIMATION SECTOR over there thats thriving. Rainmaker are in Vancouver, they always seem to be looking for people. I think they're 3d though, but I'm not sure.
Apart from that you've got Nerd Corps, who do Storm Hawks, not sure where they are.

I've been looking a bit into heading over there myself, but for now I'm committed to one or two projects this side of the pond. What kind of games you on at the moment?

Still on the dole, no luck getting a job. Passing time by gaming and reading, with a tiny bit of drawing. Motivation is difficult to come by.

Will probably move to canada soon enough.

I'm ridiculously fussy about my mugs, so I didn't trust them in transport. If I did bring one over, I would probably have carried it home by hand XD

I'm actually using IE at the moment. The new release of Friefox seems to chew up system resources on slower machines (My lappy died, so I'm using my dad's)

Shaders FTW. I'm trying to retrain my 3d skills, in particular learning render engines so I can get jobs as a lighter. But the world seems hellbent on stopping me.

How were you holding it? My brother took up the guitar, and his method of doing ANYTHING is ridiculously clinical. He can now shred like the best of them, but can't play anything. I'm the opposite XD He was going on about holding the plec with two fingers... hm interested to see which way you're doing it.

Hmm maybe they were not your mugs then... I wonder whose they are?

As for terrible crashes, my antivirus now chooses to make firefox die a horrible death on random occasions.

Uni's been okay, we had to make an OpenGL procedural terrain generator for one coursework this term. I've also discovered the wonderful world of shaders. Want shiny environment mapped transparent water? Use a shader. Want transparent areas on your trees but don't wanna go through the hassle of adding in a loader for tga's? Use a shader.

I've also knocked myself quite far back in guitar but for good reason, apparently my way of holding the pick was bad so I'm in the process of switching to a better method.

When Dante stole my heart it was flat out thievery.

I asked for it back but he told me he sold it to a homeless person for some smokes :(

Sad face, Dante, sad face. :(
